Walking away from a six-figure income to launch a new advertising agency inevitably changes how people perceive you, especially in a market already saturated with digital marketing firms.
Family, friends, and colleagues I had worked with for over 16 years advised against the decision. As I approached 40, many questioned whether I had the mental and physical bandwidth for the challenges ahead. However, purpose and passion ultimately outweighed caution.

As Peter Drucker once said, “Whenever you see a successful business, someone once made a courageous decision.”

The concept behind Media Mart emerged from numerous conversations with clients who were deeply frustrated with the industry. They shared experiences of paying premium fees for relatively simple tasks—website updates that took minutes, inflated keyword costs just to stay competitive with larger brands, and minor design adjustments billed at disproportionately high rates.
These stories were not isolated; they were consistent and widespread.
The stories were endless.
Recognizing this gap, I decided to take action and started Media Mart.
In our first week, we reached out to past clients and advertisers with a simple proposition: offer help, no strings attached. One client mentioned that his business emails had stopped working, and his developer had been unresponsive for over a week, disrupting invoice delivery to customers. We resolved the issue within 10 minutes. The following day, he transitioned to our services and referred two additional businesses experiencing similar challenges.
That moment was a turning point, it reinforced our belief that, as a team, we were building something meaningful.
We then extended the same offer to 50 former clients, inviting them to share any issues, big or small, that were hindering their operations. Eighteen responded, and we assisted every one of them at no cost.
This early response gave us confidence and validated our decision. It affirmed that there is a genuine need for transparent, responsive, and value-driven service in this industry and that Media Mart is well-positioned to deliver it.
